The progressive-metal duo, «Prevalation», emerged and took its final form in 2020, once again confirming the importance and irreversibility of fateful coincidences. Both members were looking for a shared passion for creation and a rare love for unusual, weird, incomprehensible to many, but nonetheless incredibly beautiful progressive metal. This is what they've found in each other. Born in Philippines and raised in Germany, Andrew Dertano is the main instrumentalist and one of the mastermind behind «Prevalation». He is responsible for the recording of almost all instruments and also deals with the technical side. Initially and naturally being a lead guitarist, Eva Blok, Ukrainian she gradually began to master singing, later taking the position of the lead vocalist. «Prevalation» could be called a collective mind, consisting of two parts, as similar, as strikingly different, continually pushing and complementing each other. It is a kind of machine that generates ideas, plots and emotions, sometimes reaching their extreme; a combined stream of consciousness that subsequently takes on a sound form that the creators would like to share. Someone might call this duo a kind of creative union of modern metal trends, or, to put it quite grotesquely, interracial mental porn for the listener's mind and soul. But in any case, for those who love high-quality progressive metal or would like to get a fresh look at pure, hand-made sound, the duo has something to offer.
