I began my musical education with classical piano taught to me by a teacher who was very into jazz and ethnic fusion. From there I went on to learn bass guitar in high school. I've played in small concert jazz bands, various metal/rock garage bands, and live theater accompaniment.
My style is fairly flexible, although I generally try to find a balance between pushing the envelope (re: disharmony, weird timing) and a certain level of accessibility.
