As an eternal form of music, the Blues doesn’t forgive approximations or the vulgarity of certain «adaptations».
So it comes as no surprise that a band like THE BLUES LOVERS immediately positions itself amongst the finest sounds of today.
Here tradition and experience are of the utmost importance and these musicians have «paid their dues». Their formula is straightforward : first a legendary rhythmic section of international reputation (Zox / Bass, Dee Links / Drums, Nile / Keyboards) which has been heard through the years all over Europe and across the Atlantic, in particular beside Luther Allison, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Champion JackDupree, Sonny Rhodes, to name a few, as well as in most of the recording sessions produced in Europe since the Blues revival, recordings which have constantly been reissued since. Then there is a guitarist of the highest standing, J.M.H. stringing nuances and tension behind the incredible voice of Laomée, whose immense talent undoubtedly gives her a place in the very private club of the great Blues singers.
In short here is a band that distances itself from the mere imitations so commonly found today which insribes itself in the permanent and perpetual resurrection of Blues music.
This group’s sensitivity to the world of Blues has allowed them to create a unique repertoire in Blues-Rock accents which will soon be evident.
