Bonjour! American, just moved to Grenoble from the USA and am feeling musical opportunities. My primary interest is working with a group to compose an original body of music, as well as record and performing. I am also interested in joining pre-existing groups—my strengths good at reading/writing sheet music, playing by ear, improvising, and I have a good understanding of the theory. In finding bandmates my priorities are that we are personally and musically compatible, as well as can consistently rehearse ≥ once weekly together. I have played all kinds of genres and instrumentations, including jazz trios (bass and trumpet), an 8-piece funk band (trumpet), a bluegrass quintet (upright bass), swingin' big bands (trumpet and bass), full orchestras and more....
Very happy to explore whatever you interests you—I love writing lyrics and singing (haven't done so much do this, but would love an excuse to sing more), and also own a synthesizer and sampler and would be very excited to incorporate electronics too.
I dance often, too, mostly at Balfolk events. Very interested in playing in the french film tradition.
P.S. My french is not so good at the moment. Rapidly improving, but right now communication me in English would be most appreciated!

Influences
Hiatus Kaiyote and Butcher Brown are my current absolute faves. I really like how they sound, with their mix of good lyric writing and really cool arrangements. Louis Cole and Bill Wurtz are also wonderful, and I'd be delighted to make music like them.
